I went on the website to check how the progress was going and spotted this structure. It looks like the top rows are flanking it won't have a full view of the field.

I think you answered the title question in your OP.

Looks like it. That sucks. But good thing the stadium will be empty and they can just move down, amirite?

It might not be too bad. It looks like there are support columns and then some open space as it goes in before you get the actual structure there.

There won't ever be enough people at the game to have to sit in those spots

I guess they assumed you can see through the walkway, but you know they are gonna have some douches standing right against that railing.

ETA- I plan to make some games there that don't interfere with the LSU schedule.

What do you mean by "flanking"? Judging by your red circles, are you saying the press box will block the view of the seats right next to it?
Lord I hope not.

That looks like a really intimate place to watch a game. Good for Tulane. I am definitely going to watch a game there.

That would suck to sit in those seats.

I hope Tulane gets to be a consistent 8-10 win team every year. It would be nice to play them and they be good. I never want to lose to them but a competitve rival would be nice.

Other than the first game or two, it's not like the stadium will be filled. Those people can move.

And, before the West Upper Deck was rebuilt, Tiger Stadium had similar blind spots right around the old pressbox. When I was at LSU, all student seating was general admission. So, whenever it looked like it was going to rain, our group of friends would get to the game real early, wait in line (usually at the front), and make a dash to the West Upper overhang. Of course, we would go tape all of our alcohol under those seats the night before. There were a couple times when we sat in those blind spot seats. But, we never got wet!
