Meh... I def grinned more than I thought I would, but still thinking they will ruin this.
Was about to completely disregard it during the opening until Harry ripped the catheter out.
Plus, its pretty freaking obvious what the twist is going to be at the end.

Can't believe people are already shtting on this movie. Another trailer or 2 will come. Doesn't open till November. This is going to be great

The trailer isn't great but not terrible.
I'll reserve my pre-judgement for the redband trailer.
I did like the old lady/dust gag. Jeff Daniels did look a bit stiff.

Liked it, but like others have said Daniels seems different, like he is too enthused and over the top.

From a 2 minute trailer, the movie is terrible.
Remember, this is the same board that immediately said the Dark Knight was going to be terrible because Heath Ledger was cast.
Not comparing the movies, but just an example of jumping to immediate conclusions.

I didn't really laugh at the trailer and it kind of let me down. The one thing that stuck out was that they look so old. Like, really old. I think the best part about the trailer was the beginning when Lloyd gives up the 20 year gag.

This. It won't ever be as awesome or hilarious as the original, but I'm good with that. As long as it's relatively funny and has a few throwback jokes (which it will based on the cast alone), I'll be good with it.
Not sure why people are hating on the trailer so much..it was decent enough.

I'm a huge fan of the original, probably my favorite comedy of all-time. That being said I was kinda disappointed w/ the trailer. Didn't laugh once. Looks like a bunch of recycled stuff from the first one. Not a good sign. And I agree the film quality looks strange/poor

Look, it's two idiot best friends living their life so they are going to have sayings and inside jokes that are staples in their communication for years and years.
What do you expect?
And from a selling point, why change what you know will work and what people can quote up and down the block.
You guys have to remember that you were in a different phase of your life when you first saw Dumb and Dumber, so YOU will have changed since then. The only way you still like the movie today, which some of you may not have even laughed at the movie or seen it for years, is because you saw it long ago and are fond of it. You made it a part of your adolescence or growing up.
The minute you realize this is when you can appreciate the movie for what it is, entertainment. Don't worry about it shitting on your life or past or memory of Dumb and Dumber.
Nostalgia is sometimes the worst thing for this medium.

Just seems like basically the same story -- Lloyd falling for a girl and then chasing her, with the same played-out jokes from the first one. They need some original material. That "diamonds" scene with the old woman was not funny at all. I think this will be closer to "Dumb and Dumberer" in terms of funniness

Yeah the trailer looked quite meh...
...but I would imagine I would have said the same thing if I saw the first one's trailer today as well
