Alex Jones can be over the top. But there is some substance to his topics. It is for a cautious mind to determine and cut threw.

You are seeing police departments going to a semi-military format because of the threats we have to counteract. If driving a military vehicle is going to protect officers, then that's what I'm going to do."

I've been 5 miles from the border for the past 4 years. I've seen my fair share of BP and Customs.

Bingo. There are major metro SWAT teams that receive a high level of specialized training and I would assume are qualified to operate this type of equipment effectively.
The local smokies that dress up in nomex jumpsuits and vests once every two weeks have no business having some of these items in their inventory.
