It's Patterson. If the kid wants to live there after his playing years are over and actually have a good job, there's a good chance it would be in the oil biz somehow.

Not that I think this is likely to be the deciding factor for any kid, but it isn't a horrible point. This tends to be the way that parents think, not the way that kids think.

I see, I guess that does make sense. I don't know anything about his family and their priorities.

I always thought his commitment to Bama so early was a power play on his part to put the pressure on LSU to offer. We'll see how it turns out.

Yeah, that was my point about the post. Everyone seems to forget the term "Student Athlete" because most don't get their degrees. For those who complete school there are opportunities outside of working for a used car dealership.

Will be an interesting kid to watch, Patterson is very pro LSU.
