Not so sure. These kids are very rare in that they hit for power and are EXCELLENT on the bases, very fast team & can bunt for hits/can play small ball if they have to. It's really quite an anomaly. Hitting can be streaky though, so I can agree with you there & lately the teams winning it all are the ones with 3-4 lights out pitchers.

You gotta give ULL credit though, as much as I hate to say it. They knock the fugging cover off of a baseball. No-one here could honestly say they wouldn't enjoy watching these guys/this brand of baseball if those kids were wearing purple & gold.

Very simply put, CPM does not possess sound good judgment. His instincts usually lead him to make bad decisions in the field, recruiting and with pitching. He loves players who are way away from LSU.

UoL has the kind of team I love to pull for. Hometown kids playing over their head.

CPM is a terrible recruiter and that is where it all begins. His whining press conferences are annoying. The local press loves him and so does Skip. Guess we will have to love with him but I have never liked him and do not think he has that "x-factor" the great ones have.

I cannot express how much I admire what Robichaux has done at UoL. Great pitching, speed, fundamentals, power and they just play so smart. Contrast that to Maineri.

I have been watching the Supers all wkd and have yet to see crazy base running like we have seen this past year with manierri sauce ....what is it here folks ? Coaching or just bad base running by the Tigas ?

I too hope ULL wins it all and represent the State ...OMO ....prefer ULL over the Texas longhorns

A lot of who CPM recruits is based on knowing what he will need to win in Omaha's Grand Canyon. Coach Bertman has said the same thing. What USL has going for it this yr, the long ball, won't get them squat in Omaha: LSU's been there, tried that. I think it's hilarious to take USL's best season ever...and all credit to them....and to hold up LSU's season in comparision as a way of making LSU look bad. Let's hold up LSU's best season in its history..or seasons...and look at how many ended up with the players wearing NC rings. And USL has how many?

UL doesn't rely on the long ball at all. More of a small ball team which is perfect for Omaha

Why do people keep saying this?? The Cajuns play small ball more than they rake. They've got something like 50 bunt singles on the season. Do a little research before you come in here trying to put down the Cajuns.

I was thinking the same thing, I know that little Robertson dude would not make the ULL team.

I don't think any of the starting fielders for LSUA&M would start for UL

This is ULL's best team they've ever put together give the coaching staff some props, they have an explosive offense and will most likely put on a good run if they make it to CWW, the team can hit.

Last year's National Freshman of the Year wouldn't start at SS for a Sun Belt team?

Would be interesting. Of all the ULL guys Trahan is the one that could have gone anywhere and chose to stay home. He may be the best overall player in school history. Defensively he is possibly the best shortstop in America and is a potential first day draft pick next year. Bregman is a monster but I don't think it's a slam dunk that he is better then Trahan.

Probably not as good as Luc or Guidry. He stepped on campus the best shortstop in team history though.
