It's sad to see you believe the lies pushed through by people who do not have the people's best interests at heart. The only ones wanting to keep it going is the lobbyists for law enforcement, private prisons, pharmeutical companies and big ag as well to some extent.
There is nothing moral about locking people up for a vice that people consent to and harms nobody. We have learned nothing from the 1920's prohibition of alcohol and why we repealed it. Prohibition creates black markets and specifically, what you are complaining about.

So you support violence then? That's what you are enabling by supporting the war on drugs and keeping drugs illegal. Legalize, regulate, and tax it and the dealers will be out of a job overnight.
