Eh... be very careful with that line of thinking. I've seen/heard of plenty brand new motors blowing up. Hopefully you've logged some hours on it and you're EXTREMELY comfortable with it.

Nothing about its age is what I was concerned about. There is a reason why you see twin engines or diesels off shore.

And it's still a bay boat.

Like I said plan carefully in every aspect.

Hit something submerged and see how that "new" holds up for ya.

Seriously though, there are many things that could go wrong with new motors too. Bad gas, battery die, just be careful and too take too much false security from that "new" thing. We're not trying to rain on your parade. This forum is comprised of many outdoorsmen who put a lot of emphasis on safety in all aspects of being outdoors.
