While I'm inclined to disapprove of the father's methods they will probably produce better results than anything the system in place would have.

I don't believe it. I mean....have you ever tried to grab an 11 yr old black kid by the hair? Its damn near impossible since they keep it so short!

You don't have a problem with a grown man beating the crap out of an 11 year old? Are you crazy?

So what would have been a better way?

I don't know if shoving him into the wall was the best solution. He should have bent him over his knee, exposed his bare arse, and whipped the shite out if him with a belt.

I find it perplexing that people are thinking like this without even knowing what the 11 year old actually did.

There is this vague accusation of bullying which can mean almost anything, yet it's cool to just injure and threaten a 11 year old.

So we're supporting a guy who tried to beat up an 11 year old and threatened to kill some other kids too, without any evidence that bullying occurred other than his son saying the kid was a bully?

More of this will result in less bullying. I'm all about results.

Teach your own kid how to stand up for themselves. They may get their arse whipped, but at least they fought. That is usually the end of it as most bully's want easy prey...

An autistic kid?

They gave the diagnosis of the 9 year old. Makes me think the 11 year old is just a dumbass

If we're talking about evidence, as far as the story we're given goes, this 11 year old just as easily could have made it up.

My first question is: why is the 11 year old in the special ed program? If he has mental disabilities too then I'm a lot less in favor of the dad whipping his arse.

Special ed is a general term. Doesn't even mean the kid has a learning disability, he could just have behavior problems and is put it in those classes so he doesn't disrupt the big classes. He prob just has add.

Makes me think that the article has a bias. Go figure.

The solution isn't beating up an 11 year old mentally challenged kid. It takes a special kind of fricked up to think that is ok, and it's the only thing that we know for a fact happened.

You're still offering up no solution.

effective, hopefully can get a sympathetic judge.

He should have gone and paid some 14 year old to send a message to the bully though.

As bad as something like this pisses me off I probably would have handled it differently. I would have gone to the kids parents and threaten them if it didn't stop it would be their arse getting beat up.

One thing I have instilled in my kids is to not take bullying from no one. If they have to fight to stop them, then hit the bully in the nose. My son is a big kid for his age and he doesn't tolerate his friends being bullied. He stands up for the kids that are not able to take up for themselves.

I'll bet you a $1000 that before the police arrested the dad they did more than just question the 11 year old like say question the other children on the bus, and the bus driver.

At the very least I'm sure the police did a better job investigating the 11 year olds claim, than the dad did with his autistic 9 year old sons claim of bullying.

Nope. If all the options were exhausted and this was the last ditch effort for it to stop, then no...I have no problem whatsoever.

If I had to do the same, then I would to protect my child. With that said, I would go through other options before I would take matters into my own hands.

This is how we handled things in my small town. There was basically ZERO bullying or someone's arse was kicked and humiliated.

A kid who goes around picking on lesser kids has an issue and was never taught properly. That kid will never bully again and it took a small scratch issue to teach him.
