Nope never started drinking Margaritas until after college. Did not like the taste or smell of Tequilla. And if I screw them up, its on me. That is why I am asking for a recipe. I guess I could ask my aunt who bartended on Bourbon for years and was food beverage mgr at a historic hotel ut rather get different opinions.

Pro tip: use fresh fruit.
Slice up a lime or two and half of a good juice orange, and toss them into a wide mouth glass. Add a slug of agave nectar, and the juice from the other half of the orange. Now muddle the whole mess; a large wooden spoon will work.
Use this "juice" in the tequila / triple sec ratio of your choice. Honestly I just dump the other liquids in the muddle-glass and shake in order to pick up all the extra juice flavor I can.
Put in some effort to find limes and oranges with the right taste. This is one area for which putting up with the irritating shoppers at Whole Foods is worth it.
