There is an awful lot of excitement and optimism right now. It seems like once a week there is news of a new tech company moving to the New Orleans area.
Additionally you have things like all of the movies being filmed here, the tourism numbers hitting highs, and the oil and gas boom...
New Orleans is actually tied for the top brain gain city in the country, and young professionals are flocking to the city, regentrifying lots of areas of the city...
The housing market reflects this... Housing is getting a little absurd in the city.

not so sure about that. Most of my group from LSU ended up in TX

There's never been more of these during the modern area. It's an amazing time for the city and the state.
