He will have $2 billion dollars. Sterling didn't become a billionaire by letting sentiment get in the way.

He would have sold the team without this flap for a $2 billion.

He's already a billionaire and 80 yrs old, he'd definitely prefer to remain the owner.

From the information I've read balmier is looking at a 15 - 20+ yr pay out. Unless there is some tremendous upside that's not a good deal on the buy side. But like sterling balmer is a billionaire and I don't think it's about investment; it's about buying something you just want because it's fun and you can afford it.
