What don't you believe? There is a shitload of money flying around right now kids.
I had beers with an old colleague last week, he just quit his job to take a year off. Has two kids, wife is an investment banker. Psychology major, sales rep for a large reseller, 8 years in the game and he personally made $350,000 last year. He is thirty-two.
I have a friend that dropped out of a psychology program from a directional school. He is a channel manager in a firm, four years in the tech game, he is pulling down $175,000. He is 34.
After his connections got him in the door, nobody even asked about his degree, they just assumed.
Both of them are smart and charismatic, equipped with no technical acumen whatsoever.

Oh, I'm well aware, especially in tech fields. If you continue reading you'll see that I was just fricking with him.

Because 95% of jobs are much, much easier than people like to think they are. Even engineering. Outside of Law, Medicine and the Hard Sciences, it's really a wash. Even computer science is graspable if you have the time to work at it. And things like Network Security....your assessments and certifications count WAY more than a degree. Engineering, it's computer aided problem solving and project management. Any capable person who's given the right time and investment from a company, has the desire, drive, and interest in the area, can do 95% of jobs in this world.
