Sorry to here that. The food there was always pretty good, I considered the place somewhat a hidden treasure, except for one thing, zero ambiance. They needed to redecorate about 10 years ago, the place was just drab and old looking. Some restaurants can overcome that, not many.

Best pencil cut French fries in the city and the only place I'd eat a fry with ketchup. Don't know why because it was cold ketchup too but it just worked.
He had put it up for sale because he said he wanted to focus on Stroube's and the other one downtown. Guess the lease ran up. Not surprising but I liked to stop in once in awhile for fries and a glass of wine.
City Café on O Neil and George O Neil is a better place now anyway.
