Frontline.. Syrian conflict

I really have fallen off recently in keeping up with not only the Syrian conflict but others on that side of the world..
So I watched tonight simply to glean some new perspectives and info.. What I came away was not surprising but interesting in its undertone.. The general sense seems to be that we are arming the rebels only in the hopes of prolonging the conflict, to occupy the rebels and Assad in hopes of a long term stalemate. The rebels seem to be aware of this and showed a level of disappointment in what we have done and provided versus what we have told them..
I found it interesting considering this has been out of the headlines recently but also a dangerous model of support.

The minimal level of arming we're providing + how late in the stage of conflict we are taking concrete action is almost tantamount to foreign policy via Twitter hashtags. This is a political move, devoid of any clear military or strategic objectives. Guess Barry is tired of getting his arse handed to him on the world stage. Too bad this is little more than a weak attempt to exert influence.

IMO, Assad is probably gonna come out on top in Syria, the US will quietly fade out of the scene.
The obama lap dogs will quietly sweep it under the rug and continue the obama love fest.

This basically what I said I hoped would happen in all of the threads on here.
I hope the crazy Russians and jihadists fight forever.

Vice TV has quite a few good videos as well. The freedom fighters are entrenched and will remain entrenched until they are dead or Assad goes. One really has to admire their poise being in such a shitty position.

Well, we have the choice to arm AQ in Syria...or Nazis in the Western Ukraine. It's a mess.
If there is any hope, it's Israel. They will take care of Iran, when the Mullahs get that bomb and make a threatening move.
