He absolutely crushed his first home run last night...I was amazed how far it went out because he put that thing up in the air. Hearing Len's uncertainty as to if he got enough because it was so high was delightful when realizing how damn deep he hit it.

That was off a left handed pitcher throwing a looping curveball. The same thing happened in Arizona. Rizzo is on to something this season.

I remember his arizona home runs being more just crushed...this one could have brought down rain.
I guess what im' saying is while his blast in arizona were pretty spectacular (especially the one over the pool and then the sunday smash), this one really impressed me
was also nice to see him get a cheapy after how bad of luck he had last year.

When they had the pads guy in the booth last night (who did a pretty good harry caray by the way) he was talking about how Rizzo was hitting around .300 against lefties. I knew he'd been doing better so i looked it up to confirm .313 ba .594 slugging and 1.001 OPS compared to .189, .342 and .624 last year.

Sorry to interrupt your boner emporium, but just wanted to say, as a baseball fan, I enjoy your thread. It would be a fun time to be a Cubs fan for sure. Also, Rizzo is a damn beast. Good luck to you guys in the near future. Can't wait to see all these young guys in the lineup soon.
