I've always worn Mizuno enigma's, but this Hoka brand seems to be hot right now. but the shoe looks like it has to much foam for me. idk. anybody tried them to see if they are legit?

Have the saucony kinvaras and was hesitant about the adidas energy boost 2.0s but I like them so far... Good cushion that isn't overdone..

Hoka's website:

quote:

HOKA ONE ONE has engineered a unique performance midsole geometry that features a higher volume, softer density, and greater rebounding foam than standard running shoes. Along with maximal cushioning, this provides runners of all types with an energizing, stable ride. HOKA ONE ONE understood from the beginning that foot motion was extremely important for uniformity of stride. HOKA ONE ONE incorporated minimum drop geometry along with a rolling rocker design to promote consistent rhythm in the runner's foot strike.

just a heads up pretty much every shoe company claims this kind of stuff but a lot of recent studies have shown there is no injury reduction from buying more expensive shoes. I'm trying to find the one from Oregon right now.

If you're buying them for style thats completely different and go for it. but if you're buying them for injury reduction they might be stealing your money.

LINK heres an article with some good info but ill try to find that university study.

eta: heres a good one

I've been running in the Asics Gel-Nimbus line since the 8's. Just recently bought the 16's.

Nike Zoom Vomero. I can't wear frees or zero drops for anything more than a few miles. These are max cushion without a huge heel.
