Wow, that looks awful.
And I can't be the only person not buying Cory and Topanga being old enough for kids that old, huh? (I know they are "old enough," but I mean just looking at them...they still look like kids themselves)

the show ended in 2000 and for all we know Topanga could've been pregnant when they moved to NYC

I'm not too familiar with the original show. I used to watch it here and there, but I always felt like I was just a few years too old to really appreciate it, so I never got into it.
So if it ended in 2000, that would mean that they started pumping out babies around 18/19 I guess.

around that age, Danielle Fishel (Topanga) is 33 right now so her character could've been at least another two years older on the show

They were two seasons into college when it went off. So more like 19/20. The age range isn't bad at all. They had been married for a bit before it ended too.
edit: looks like the daughter is 12, so about 2 years after the show ended, they had their first.

Yeah, like I said..I know they are old enough, but they just don't look like it to me. They still look like teenagers to me damn near.
I'm interested to see how this show does, btw. I have a feeling it will have pretty massive ratings for the first few episodes (for nostalgia) and then die a painful ratings death afterwards. I don't expect it to last more than maybe a season or two (although who knows...maybe they have their shite together and can bridge the gap between new viewers and the people who used to love the original).

I think the ratings would do a lot better on ABC Family

After watching the opening credits, it has a totally different feel than the boy meets world series. It looks like it will just be a another teen Disney show.

Yeah, kids today won't give a crap about the old TV show, so who knows how it will do. I would of rathered a show more focused on the older audience and centered around Cory/Topanga.

they probably blended Cory and Eric's personality for the character of Joshua

What is it coming on...I thought it was ABC Family..?
I figured it would do better on a channel like that because their target numbers are a much lower bar to reach.

That's right...I remember talking about that before, and that's why it looks like every other shite Disney TV show over the last ten years or so.
Still, Disney is cable, so the ratings won't need to be too high for it to stick around I'd guess.

This show will by typical Disney. I hope it centers around the kids and not Corey/Topanga. I think it will be a good, not great, show.

Where the hell is the affirmative action Disney token minority character? Heck I don't think the original show even had one!

Awwwww I remember Cory talking to his little brother in the final episode

Looks like shite. It needs a Shawn character. Someone with a really shitty life that turns out okay.
