Baton Rouge School Bus Tickets

Got one on Jefferson highway, sent them an appeal since I was 5 lanes over, they wrote me a letter back saying the ticket had been dropped.
Ive heard a lot of gripe and complaining about the way these tickets are being given (really stretching the law) and about the company keeping most of the profit being from Texas.
Are all of these tickets being dropped now? Didn't think they would just drop it without making me at least go to court or pay some portion of it.

I hate the cameras they use for fines as they are harder to fight when a mistake is made. But people shouldn't pass school buses.

Didn't know tickets to ride school buses were available to purchase.

I posted links to the law in that thread somewhere as it pertains to when to stop for school buses and the legal definition of a "divided highway"
(ETA: SEE POST BELOW)
That being said, I got one on Jefferson in Feb, sent the appeal, didn't hear from them for months. They sent me a letter rescheduling my court date (a date which they did not disclose). Made several calls which got no answer. Eventually I found out they had dropped it completely.
