It depends. If you don't have the card, you need an escort to be somewhere that you need it, regardless of who you are or what the status of your application is. You don't want to have that discussion with the coast guard.

shite.

I'd be blowing the phone up. As long as you have an escort it doesn't matter whether you have it or not though as far as I know. You just can't technically be unsupervised.

I think the USCG prefers there to be 1 TWIC escort for every 4 non TWIC holders. SO hopefully there aren't too many running around.

I've been calling them twice a week for about 4 weeks. I will be working with someone else who has a TWIC.

Do companies allow this to happen often?

From what I understand the receipt acts just like the card for most places.

If you havent called your employer you might want to stop there.

Mine took 2-3 weeks back in october.

In the beginning when I got my first one it took that long, but I let mines expire and I don't think that it took two weeks the last time since that initial period when everyone had to get one at the same time. Something's not right, do you have a rap sheet?

The whole system is a racket IMO anyway. I know people who have done 5 to 10 in real prisons with TWIC cards and my cousin got denied one because his brother picked him up onside the road and a cop stopped them and found some marijuana residue in the car and the cop split under a gram that he scraped together between both of them even though one was just catching a ride. He was denied a TWIC card and appeals went nowhere for like a year until a phone rep finally told him that it would be best for him to just start over. He paid another $160 or whatever and was approved. Yep, Money Racket. On top of that every real job or facility does a background check on employees or contractors anyway so what's the point?

Our site doesn't accept the receipt, you can't get in the gate without the card period. The receipt only shows you applied for the card, not that you passed all checks I believe.

Well, seems like they won't take a receipt and the status that my application was approved. The waiting game continues, I swear I'm never going to get this thing.
