Okay I did get confused. I'm a casual fan, so whatever it is its confusing as frick for me because I don't follow the NBA. I don't watch any regular season games, because they are meaningless, that's really my point.
But still I would like 2-2-3 for all NBA playoff series.
Then your record and seeding are very important and you don't have a team like Miami tanking so they can be the two seed.
Why not give the #1 seed a little more credit for having the best record.

you cant give them 5 games out of 7. 4 is enough.
As it is with the 2-2-1-1-1 the higher seed gets games 1,2,5,7 the most important games in a series IMO. That's a pretty good deal.

Tanking to get the 2 seed.... right right.
7 game series.... 4 out of 3 at home is an advantage. Take care of it and you will have home court. 5 out of 7 is a bit ridiculous.
