It's ok for calzones. Their pizza is substandard IMO.

There is one in Central. I'm scared to go in. Looks crappy. However, Fleur de lis looks likes absolute shite and the pizza was good (not great like all you cult people).

I don't know how good the pizza is but their salad menu is one of the best in BR.

Overpriced big time.

Damn near running up a 16 dollar tab ordering a salad at lunch. Not that great either.

This was my first job when I was a kid. Always loved the food. Get a calzone. Or the white pizzas if they still have them.

I think DeAngelo's is getting by. People see it as a safe choice, but the buzz and hype from the past is long gone. Frankly, Louis should try a new concept before his name recognition is totally gone.

The one on Jefferson Highway is so secluded that I forget it's there. We used to do takeout regularly from the predecessor location at Hammond-Aire. Salads and calzones used to be very good. A recent visit to the Jefferson one for a sit-down dinner was disappointing. Instead of sticking to their core strengths, they've added a lot of upscale menu options and the consensus is that they don't execute any of those very well. They've got a liquor license but they desperately need a professional bartender.

I remember when the original location opened in the late-90s (Bluebonnet near Perkins -- I believe a Mexican restaurant is in that location now) we'd drive all the way from Thibodaux to eat there, it was that good. Now it's pretty meh.
