They really are awesome. Michelin does it right. They spend a ton of money on new technology, unlike Goodyear, which spends a ton of money on a fricking blimp.

The tires are fine. Nothing wrong with them at all. They just won't get the same fuel economy, treadlife, and ride comfort/stability that a Michelin will.

What's a good tire for riding on limestone? Does it eat up the all terrains as fast as the highway tires?

All terrains will obviously provide more traction, and with a tire with current technology could possibly provide longer tread life.
