Halo was huge for the original Xbox. It was a console seller. Later on Halo 2 did that same thing as I bought an Xbox because of how all my friends had Halo 2.
For Xbox360 I think the big seller before Halo 3 was Gears of War. It was a console seller.
Xbox One does not have that title yet. I think they expected Titanfall to be that title.
All of this to say that Halo may be the thing Microsoft and Xbox need to get this thing rolling.
