Just outfitted the canoe with a trolling motor and I thought I might take it to the lakes for a test run. Is this something that is forbidden?

Seems like I remember a full fledge bass boat in there with the motor up. They were using the trolling motor. Of course that doesn't mean they didn't get in trouble.

No gas powered engines are even allowed to be touching the water. Trolling motors are fine.

Just make sure it's registered. Trolling motors means it has to have numbers and all that other b.s.

I do not believe you can have any form of motor running in the lakes, even a trolling motor. If you could, don't you think everyone would be out there all weekend?

You can run a trolling motor out there, the sign clearly says no gasoline powered engines. But I guess with my logic you could run top fuel out there too so there's that. I wouldn't worry about it, fake like your heading to the overpass then double back to BR beach and you'll shake the fuzz.
