I used to like it a lot and then someone on here said it had a "mint" aftertaste and now I notice it, so I don't like it as much anymore. Pretty much gave up all soda anyway.

It's the best. At the Real pickle in shreveport they offer it in a frozen mug and it gets just lightly iced on the top where the froth is and is damn near the best thing you ever tasted.

Abita is one of the better locally available root beers...I prefer Souix City Sasparilla. I like to try local root beers when travelling and buy some unusual ones from from The Root Beer Store. The craft root beer industry is following in the footsteps of the growing craft beer explosion.

abita is damn good...made with real cane sugar, if I remember right...
