It was not intended as advice. It was an opinion that I have had for 47 years. I stand by it 100%. The guy who said Houston was better is regretfully right. But.... NOLA has its French Quarter and that is what keeps it going. Eliminate the Quarter and NO ONE would come there. The locals love to hate on the FQ but reality is if it was sunk into oblivion tomorrow that would be the death sentence of the city. Thats FACT.

Jesus this is dumb.

Have you spent any time elsewhere? Uptown is much better than the FQ IMO. There's fun to be had downtown but the fact is if you're not trying to just get absolutely trashed bourbon street really sucks, Pat O's excluded.

And your opinion is far from fact.

Dude i've probably been going to NOLA since before you were alive. I know whats uptown and thats YOUR opinion like I gave mine. I've been all over that city time and again. Its fun for a day or two then i'm headed back north to Ascension.

You honestly think if the quarter were abondoned tomorrow NOLA would still flourish as a tourist city? If you do you're naive.
