on a RIDICULOUSLY long flight?

(I already know about Ambien and related drugs, fleshlights, and porn)

Also, what type of snacks can I get through TSA without being strip searched by Jamal and Loquincia?

My kindle and my little charger box thingey that I can bring to charge up my kindle and phone while in flight.

You can bring any snacks already packaged(non liquids) through TSA

I always bring granola bars or cereal bars and lil bags of chips and a small thing of candy of choice. Gotta have a variety of sweet and salty.

Also usually bring protein bars in case flight is delayed for layover and I don't have time to grab food.

I just recently went to New Zealand, and I'd recommend:

Xanax + melatonin
Noise canceling headphones
A white noise app on your phone for when you want to sleep (I have sleep pillow)
The largest bottle of water you can buy in the terminal
iPad- download some movies and books
Glasses/contact case/contact solution
Face l& hand otion- your skin going to be crazy dry
Moist towelettes to wipe your face off when you wake up. Easier and less messy than normal face wash
Toothbrush/toothpaste (or at the very least mouthwash). Morning breath= ewwww
Don't dress like white trash when you fly, but pack some more comfortable clothes for the flight. I had yoga pants and a light button down.
Fuzzy socks- don't let your feet get cold
I brought my camping pillow & sleeping bag. Had to be as comfy as possible.
If you bring unopened snacks like nuts, candy, etc. you'll be fine.

Keep in mind my total travel time was about 36 hours, but everything fit easily into a carry on.

Also, I realize you asked for one thing, but the only ONE thing that can maybe get you through a long flight is a heavy sleeping pill, so take my advice and follow my list. Where are you headed?

If you want to sleep, I highly recommend a girly sleeping mask.

Booze for sure. I can't get on an international flight without the hope of getting absolutely shitfaced. How anyone tolerates a 13 hour flight without booze and pills I'll never know.

The one thing? My Westone UM1's with Shure black olive tips. Much more comfortable on a long haul than my Bose QC2's and they are so flush with your ear you can sleep on your side withing feeling like you are sleeping with a midget jabbing his finger in your ear.

My preference on long flights is to download continuous TV series. I can burn through 13-14 episodes of something flying to India and it sure makes the flight go by much faster.

Headphones, gum, music, bottle of water, and some sort of snack- pretzels or something like that.

That sets me up pretty well on my 9+ hour SAS flights.

If I'm flying anything over 8 hours non-stop I'm flying business class or I'm not flying, period.
