There are several places between NO and TB to stop of boudin, sausage and the like-Bergeron's in Lobdell, Kartchner's and Billy's in Krotz Springs, Bourque's in Port Barre. People have mentioned other sources in Opelousas and Ville Platte. Buy some frozen meat pies from Lasyone's in Natchitoches and, as mentioned, tamales in Zwolle.

Most of the folks I know who have places in TB or vacation there, bring their own food with the exception of the fish they fry that are caught on site.

Man, I miss Toledo Bend. I grew up that area and really took it for granted.
