This is why I don't follow recruiting to a t like most people on here. Sure these kids commit to play at a school, but in all likelihood their main focus is getting to the NFL which entails, leaving early. It's good to see them play for 2 years, but I don't put much stock into it these days.

They need to do the math in terms of the value of getting an education vs the value of a shot at an NFL career. 25/30 signets in a class. Of those 25, 5 will have a good shot at being drafted. Of those 5, 3, at best, will be on an NFL roster 12 months after draft day. So it's about a 1 in 10 chance (and that's at LSU--"NFLU"). That extra year can be worth a good bit if they, contrary to typical behavior, actually try to get an education--even if that education consists of upgrading from a 5th grade level to a 12th grade level of ability.
