Other than his stance on gay political activism how does that article lead you to believe he has any right wing convictions.
When Obama opposed gay marriage was he a right wing bigot as well?

Sin is a Biblical term to describe those actions that are forbidden by God. Many believe that homosexuality is one of those things that are forbidden by God in the Bible. Thus, unless you disagree with that interpretation of the Bible then sin is a very accurate term to use.
Like I said, just as silly as the term "gaystapo".

Tolerant intolerance.
Nice.
Way to suppress that dissenting position. Well done.

I do not follow, what makes it silly? Is it the sound of the word or is it the fact that the Bible describes it as such? Maybe it is the idea of the Bible, the word of God. Is it the term or something else you find silly?

what views can people express and not be fired? Is it simply take the liberal approach to things and share only those ideals and you will be safe from reproach?
Keeping your pie hole shut is one alternative.

I can't wait until you guys realize this isn't the "gotcha" line yall think it is.

The same thing that makes the Book of Mormon's claims about native American Jews and the Quran's claims about 72 virgins silly.

Its clearly the safest but is it the road we want to go down? If we're afraid to express our convictions then we risk becoming voiceless.

If your conviction consists of speaking out against gays using the goofy arse term "gaystapo", then yes I would say it's best to keep such things to yourself.
As other have said, he almost certainly wouldn't have been fired had he not made his comment so juvenile.

I don't believe that for a second. The moment he made his views known he was gone. Silly spellings weren't his undoing.

You're going to believe what you want to believe.
Posted on 5/7/14 at 4:05 pm to Roger Klarvin
Has nothing to do with what I want to believe. Its more an opinion based upon what the papers publishers said.
quote:
“While Mr. Eschliman is entitled to his opinion, his public airing of it compromised the reputation of this newspaper and his ability to lead it.”

So you really don't see the difference between "I believe homosexuality is a sin" and this:
Because if not, there's no point in discussing this further.
quote:
“I’d like to talk a little bit about deceivers among us, most notably the LGBTQXYZ crowd and the Gaystapo effort to reword the Bible to make their sinful nature ‘right with God. If you ask me, it sounds like the Gaystapo is well on its way. We must fight back against the enemy.”
