Don't get an airline card. You can get a regular credit card and earn miles to use on any airline. I have a capital one professional reward card. No fees and double miles on every purchase.

To redeem you just purchase ticket with your card then redeem your miles at a later time. It's the tits!

I have capital one venture card. Very good, double miles for everything and if you have rewards banking you can combine your miles. Only bad thing is if you redeem for cash instead of miles then they cut it in half. Save the miles for travel, you get the full amount!
