If thats the case, he on prescribed medication to combat the depression,
We think, I'll drink so I won't be depressed anymore. Next day depression is back,happens everyday.
People get hooked on pain killers everyday to cope

I used to be this way and sure enough the problems I thought I was drinking away were there the next day... I have drinking for over 30 years... Have stopped at times for a year or so, But I have settled myself into being a functional allky. Just the way it is.....
