Semi-custom is not custom. He will probably want changes and it sounds like he has own design in mind.
Did your price include the slab engineering?
Not sure of the size of his home and that will vary the price a good bit.

When I say semi custom design I mean he designs what I want with some input from him, I can make some changes etc. He is a architect not a draftsman. He won't do 20 revisions for that price, but the end result is a higher end house that sells for around $600,000 and doesnt look like every othe house around. This includes the slab, then I send the slab plans to my post tension guy and they engineer it and make changes as needed.

If it's a standard stick build home with a slab on grade... you don't need the foundation plan stamped. It just has to meet the minimum requirements.
