do the basics first
fuel filter,wster seperator,
sparkplugs.
check the compression on all of the cylinders make sure one of them isnt weak.
the 0x66 is a great outboard

It's been great. Starts on the first crank every time. It ran perfect the last time we ran it last year. Gave us this problem the first time we ran it this year.
