So that was fun. 30% increase in premiums, double the out of pocket expenses.

So everyone in the company pays more for less!

Same plan as before which is pretty much full coverage (I have a family with two kids).

The best part of the meeting were the known Democrats reactions. They were like (seriously)

I knew what was coming. I just snickered.

Bill Nelson should be VERY happy he's not up for re-election this year. He won with 55% last time and that was before this mess.

To make matters worse (for democrats) is that because we use ADP, our cost increases weren't nearly as bad as any company that buys their own coverage.

Man this election year is going to be fun.

Elections have consequences!

But you employer will save 3000% on healthcare cost and that equates to raises for everyone.

LIAR

Even if you're not, you can't prove these increases are due to Obamacare, your premiums were going up beforehand!

Yeah, our company is very proactive with personnel costs and generally forward looking in many of our compensation changes. My 2014 premiums went up 26% and my deductible increased by 50%. This is for the most expensive plan my company offers.

Your old plan was inadequate. Luckily your new plan covers maternity services AND prostate exams!!

Oh... And don't forget those lifetime limits!!

Now, since your employers is saving 3000% on his healthcare costs... March right into his office, and demand that raise Obama promised!! Remind him that you are no longer "job locked" and he "didn't build that" (the company).

Let us know how it turns out for you!

In May, we will find out how much we are going to "save."

Pretty nervous that the "savings" are going to hit us hard.

Had mine last month and holy shite it is a winner.

30 buck copay for doctor visits. 10 bucks for generic scripts. 20-30% coinsurance max. Company pays first 500 of any expenses.

And it costs me exactly 0.00 per year.

I went and got the letter I received out of the file just to make sure I didn't post the wrong numbers..

34.2% cost increase to the company for the health plan. They absorbed 14.2%, we cover the other 20%. Deductibles tripled from $500 to $1500 per year for singles and from $1500 to $4500 per year for families. No hyperbole needed, the numbers speak for themselves.

The 8 million "newly insured" can get in a single file line and wait for their turn to kiss my arse.

Maybe you should put the fault where it really lies?

I don't know the size of your company, but a LOT of factors go into determining what an insurance company is willing to offer your company in coverage. The answer might be just as simple as having a doofus in Human Resources who's not very good at shopping or negotiating for healthcare plans, because as it stands it looks like Obamacare plans will have overall moderate increases...

Really?

So before ObamaCare, if someone at your company was fired or quit - and they ahd a pre-existing condition - what happened?
