I don't know, maybe because this only becomes an issue because it gets made into one. There's typically what, one incident a year if that? Million other things to focus on I guess.

I'd imagine most major league pitchers aren't as stupid as Pineda.

Also, you have to imagine there was a conversation between him and McCann or the pitching coach or someone where the recommendation was made to use the pine tar.

How the actual frick does the Yankee dugout let him walk out there like that, knowing that the Sox might be on high alert because of the last time he faced them (and also he used it in his first start at Toronto)?

Just seems like this should have been prevented.
