The game doesn't force you to use a save editor.

I use cheat engine on game to see if I can and see how it affects game play.

some games it improves, others not so much. it pretty much ruined dark souls for me. need to give it another try at some point without the cheats. it's just hard not to cheat when it's so readily available and easy. on a scale of 1-10 on how hard it was to crack dark souls, it's a 2.

Witcher 2 first, Skyrim second, Dark Souls last due to shitty port (if you are on PC.)

You aren't making any sense. So you didn't like Dark Souls b/c cheating made it too easy? For a game where the major draw is the unforgiving, difficult nature you didn't like it b/c cheating made it too easy. Try playing it the way it was meant to be played

IDK man. I don't really see the point in cheating, especially a single player game

The whole point of Dark Souls is that it's hard as hell, of course if you use cheats to make it easy the game isn't fun anymore, you've defeated the whole purpose of the game.

Are you 10 years old?

That sounds like something I would do in a game as a young kid. I learned pretty quickly that using cheats leads to a game being broken which leads to a game being not fun.

Wat?

say I hit a hard spot. I can either keep beating my head against the wall and wasting time, or I can easily input a few numbers and make it a lot easier.

the path of least resistance sure is appealing in a fake game that has no affect on my real life where time really matters

If the time is that important, why are you playing video games in the first place?

Quit justifying your cheating ways Dark Souls is too hard for you, and that's cool. Plenty of people quit b/c it's too hard. No shame in it.

Also, didn't you drop like $1500 in real money on a fake game for the iPhone?

But for real, I think most people are saying the fun in playing a game is the challenge of figuring out how to advance thru it and ultimately complete/beat it.

to help pass a short amount of time? I don't have that much free time atm. the free time I do have I'd prefer to spend it not beating my head against a wall in a game.

I want to enjoy it tho. I can see how it would be a fun game

Sounds like you'd be better off playing a call of duty campaign or something.

Therein lies the problem. The fun in Dark Souls IS the difficulty and beating your head against a wall.
