Terrible advice IMHO. If you are doing better than most starting out enjoy the hell out of it. Run up a bar tab every now and then and treat an OT 7 to a nice dinner if she bangs like a puma. Just dont make it a weekly routine and you will be fine. Hard to network if you are a cheap arse

Sticking to a budget does not necessarily equal being a tight arse, but I understand (and agree) with what you're getting at
