Reading that Ream has played some LB for Bolton has me wondering....
FJ - Cameron - Besler - Ream
FJ - Cameron - Besler - Ream

especially now that Beasley is hurt or potentially injured for the WC, Fabian Johnson is a lock to start, right?
If beasley is back for the world cup, would it be a long shot to see this backline?
---------------------GK---------------------------
Beasley-----Cameron----------Besler------F. Johnson

Beasley is going to be fine.
And why would we put Beasley on the right? He's never played there. If that backline happens it's with Johnson and Beasley switched, especially since DMB has played LB for us and F. Johnson plays RB a lot for Hoffenheim.

The only reason Beasley should ever sniff the starting XI is if we move Cameron to CB and have to plug Fab over to RB.
At this point, I think our best backline is:
Cameron----somebody----Besler----Johnson
We just need to someone out of Gonzalez/Goodson/Brooks/Gooch to rise up for that spot because those other three are high-quality players at those positions. All we need is someone who doesn't make many glaring mistakes. I'm leaning toward Gooch or Goodson simply because they are veterans.

There is no reason in putting Cameron up in the midfield when we need so much more at right back or centerback.
I'm sorry. I figured most posters on this board were familiar with the various field positions. That's my fault.

Douche on, Jed, douche on.
You responded to a guy asking if someone from the midfield could drop back to help the backline i.e. a defensive mid. I know what a "center-half" is, I didn't think you did with the way you worded your response.
