He won 34 games primarily with a roster and rotation of Tyreke Evans, Anthony Davis, Brian Roberts, Ajinca, Withey, Anthony Morrow, Austin Rivers, and a little of Eric Gordon and Darius Miller. And some of those names missed multiple games. Jrue, Smith and Anderson played only at the beginning of the season before this team could even gel. So I won't and can't count that. And yea taking time to gel matters, just look at Brooklyn. Some idiots thought they wouldn't even make the playoffs

So my point here is that Monty knows what he is doing and firing him would be stupid. Fire him for what? So we can hire another coach to implement his own system and have our young players start over? Cmon. Some, well actually all of you wanted him fired before the all star break. How stupid is that? We would have sucked even more and again, our players would have to learn another system at the midpoint of the season. That's incredibly stupid.

Monty will make this team a winner and wallowint and I will be here to say we told you so. /EndRant

While winning certainly would shield him from criticism, You've been here long enough that you know the complaints aren't about the record.

A more accurate statement would be that Monty knows what he wants to do. The data clearly showed that Aminu and Stiemsma were killing the team, but Monty was more comfortable losing with Defense than trying to win with Offense.

Anthony Davis will make this team a winner, not Monty. If Monty is here long term, it means he's figured out how to get out of the way. The biggest complaint against Monty has always been his rotations, hopefully Demps can help save Monty from himself with who he does and doesn't sign.

His complete misuse of Evans for the first 3/4 of the season is a good enough reason for him to be fired

We had a lot of injuries, and they get a little slack for that.

But not playing Evans and continually starting Steamer and playing Roberts and leaving Rivers on the bench as much as he did were poor poor coaching errors.

What system? Is a coach going to come in and instal the Tampa 2 or something? There are only so many ways to play basketball.

Monty's rotations and substitutions are that of retard. Even with injuries I still did not understand his personnel moves in games down the stretch and especially in the 2nd half of games we were either winning or had a chance to win.

Can't use tanking as the reason why either...

that is what tells me he gotta go. Everyone deals with injuries... that excuse is NOT AND EXCUSE

I didn't catch too many of the Pelicans games, but I wasn't impressed. One particular game I remember against the Spurs, he benched Morrow for the last 5 or so minutes when he had the hot hand and was clearly our best scorer. Even my SO, who doesn't watch any sports, asked why the coach benched him. That's not a good sign.

I don't think he is terrible but Monty's had his chances. WE HAVE FINISHED LAST IN OUR DIVISION THE PAST 3 YEARS. I don't think he is a great developer of talent. Certain coaches maximize their player's potential (Pop, Thibodeaux, Doc) and he's not one of them. Player's leave here and have bigger impacts for their new teams than they did when they were here (Ariza, Thorton, Collison, Belinelli, Lopez). I wouldn't fire him yet, but he gets one more year in my opinion.

I think the real problem in NOLA is DELL DEMPS!
