Oh ok. Guess we'll see if Asik can avoid that in game 2.

I'd rather the ball be in Aldridge's hands late in games than Lillard's any day. Aldridge turned it over 2x late and the last time Houston played them in the regular season he had the same issues late in the game.

the series is Houston's for the taking. IF big IF they lose it won't be bc of Beverley.

You are downplaying the potential loss of Beverly way too much, Boom.

Even though Lillard still played pretty well, there is no denying how effective he was on D against Lillard.

Houston has no answer for LA and it will be a slaughter fest if you have to count on Lin and Harden to guard Lillard.

When you play that game at as I high a level as I have, you know there's always something more that you could've done to win the game. NO matter what calls the refs may or may not have made.

You're absolutely right...it will be because Dwight Howard will never win a championship.

I would rather the offense flow through LA during the closing minutes of the 4th quarter. As for the last shot of the game, put it in Lillard's hands.

Portland has no answer for what Houston is doing either. It was a good game between 2 close to evenly matched teams. Whoever makes shots late will win the series. I'll stick by my Houston in 6 prediction.

Lillard is an assassin. That guy scared me to death.

And that was BEFORE the Blazers were a playoff-worthy squad.

This is the epitome of a 4/5 matchup, tbh.

Flip a damn coin.

It is only his 2nd season and he is already shown the "clutch gene" over and over.

Neither team is a threat defensively. The problem is that Portland has two proven offensive commodities, while Houston has to put it all on Harden's back. Parsons is good but he not 25+ per night good.

You're basing too much off of what you saw last night. It's easy to make statements like that when you haven't seen a whole lot of either team all year. Houston has lots of guys who can hit big shots.

Going into the series I thought it was pretty much Houston has DH12 and Harden, and Portland has Aldridge and Lillard. People picked the Rockets 1. B/c they had home court and 2. because they thought the rest of the Rockets team was a wee bit better across the board.

I can blame the game on the refs all I want with the awful call on Dwight with 10 seconds in OT, but Houston was up 10 with 4 minutes left and started launching up 3s with 15 left on the shot clock...repeatedly. At some point you have to have offensive discipline

The Rockets simply choked last night. And Howard/Harden, while great players at times, are prima donna types who play terrible defense.

I have actually watched a fair number of Rockets games this year. With that being said, there is a difference between being able to hit big shots and becoming a consistent 2nd scoring option.

That Halfcourt offense revolves around Harden and if he has 2-3 more shooting nights like last, Houston won't win.

Lin and Parsons both have the ability to go on tears and put points on the board. They aren't the caliber of player as Lillard is though

wow you'd never know houston was a top 10 defense all year by reading the posts by some of these posters who haven't seen them play even 5 games all year.

Lin drives me nuts with his drives then pass outs.

All the experts come out after one loss. The team wins 55 games and they lose ONE playoff game and all of a sudden Howard sucks on D and they don't have enough firepower on offense to win.
