I could do it. Would love to do it.
I find cooking very relaxing, but i also love the challenge of having it done. Today was a perfect example. i loved the challenge of having everything ready at once for easter dinner.
Pulling the leg if lamb letting it rest at that perfect 130 degrees. Meanwhile sautéing the french green beans in shallots and olive oil with hem getting to wilted. Then at the same time sautéing my FIL halibut with fresh line juice and capers because he doesn't eat meat. And making sure the potatoes au gratin, creamed spinach are warm and ready to go as well. And making sure it's all fresh and hot at the same time for 12 people. I want it perfect and everyone smiling. Love the challenge.
I went to culinary school for six months. Cooked at Gino's and Ruffinos during that time.
I thought I wanted to be a chef. But what I learned is there is a differnce between enjoying something and having a passion for it. You need to have that passion to be a chef.

None of these people realize what it is like working on a line of a busy restaurant. You would be dizzy before service even started
