Little Finger orchestrated it with the fool. the grandmother probably played a part. we arent sure who exactly put the poison in the goblet, but those were the 3 players.

Im pretty postiive it was the grandmother who put it in the glass. First, go back to episode 2 and watch the scene where she is talking to sansa at the wedding, shes playing with her hair and at one point, grabs a bead off sansas necklace. You can see one missing when the camera pans over a second later. Then, when tyrion walks to grab the cup before finally filling it and giving it to joffrey, it is in front of the grandmother.

Next, in episode 3, you see little finger smash the beads and pretty much infer he was involved.(not sure if you can or cannot see liquid coming out when they smash, its really dark but im going with no)

Im pretty positive the beads are either filled with poison (maybe just the one the grandmother took) or the beads are some kind of poison themselves.

Agreed but I have no idea how she got the poison from the necklace to the cup. Michael Jordan comes to mind.

That's everyone's best guess right now. Littlefinger, gmaw Tyrell (implied to an extent), and the stupid fool. There may be more to it, but right now that's all that was really implied.

The beads are the poison. Way back when Melissandre first started making waves, a maester tried to kill her by poisoning his own cup and suggesting they drink together as a truce. He died from his own poison and she was immune. The important part is that he pulled a crystal of something off of his chain and dropped it into his cup before he croaked himself trying to croak Melissandre.
