I just don't have the time to deal with games where the unlocking of weapons and upgrades greatly impacts how you do against other players.

Yeah, I'm 28.
I have been playing a ton of Counter-Strike:Global Offensive. There's no grind to it, because the weapons are economy based in game. Everyone is on equal footing the entire game. It's a very strategic FPS.
Nah, I still ball outta control on BF3.

Did you give inFamous or Ground Zeroes a shot? I'll be getting the Dynasty Warriors game they released recently, but I'm a fan of the series. It also has FF14 if you like MMOs.
