So there's your disadvantage!

That was apparently an ESPN U screw up as it happened on DTV and cox also.

Can anyone provide a link to this "CST won't carry LSU after 9/1"?

Direct TV doesn't get CST. Other than that, I love having Direct.
Seems to me that the SEC network, particularly with ESPN putting it's name on it, will be included in the ESPN package along with ESPN, ESPN2, news, ESPNU, etc.

How is Dish and DTV now with weather? Use to have DTV and it would go out when it was just cloudy outside, which was reason why i switched to Cox.

I've had all 3. Currently w DirectTV. I liked Dish better. But they were more expensive for what we wanted so that's why we switched to DTV. Cox cable was by far the worst.
Both are gonna crap out in bad weather though and cox won't.

DirecTV has gotten better in bad weather, but still goes out with a heavy "stiff dew"

In Houston watching ESPNU on dish and goes to dish network commercial in middle of OM at bat. OM scores to tie game at 3, but we watching commercial. Returns to game to see Breg make play on third out. Anybody know how OM scored?
I have dtv and the same thing happened. By the time I got my audio on my iPhone via geauxzone, I believe Jim said a sac fly but don't hold me to that.

Agree. Go w Dish not DirectTv. Dish carried CST.
Great advice. Let's pick a carrier based on a channel that will be obsolete in 2 months.

If your area can get it. Just get u verse. You can set up a tv anywhere in your house without all the wires n shite. Just gotta plug it in. Almost any channel you wanna watch comes on the basic package. Including all the espn and the network. Only thing I don't like is not having cst but like it's been said they will be picking up the secn.

I am sure there was a weather issue years ago with Dish and DTV, but there are very little issues these days. We have had snow storms and blizzards lasting hours and I never ran into an issue with reception on my DTV here in Colorado.
And if you live out of WHO DAT Nation DTV is the way to go if you wanna watch the Saints.
