my theory is they have the brew already pre planned and they brew a batch of it prior to the show even taping. at the parties they have there is far too much being handed out for only 5 gallons of homebrew. and ive seen the dude scooping yeast into the carboy with his hands. something told me that carboy got dumped immediatly.

Well they typically brew about 10-15 gallons. That's roughly 100-150 pints. And i believe they distribute them in taster cups, which are probably 6 oz. So that would be 200-300 servings.

Well they aren't going to air them filling up 2 or 3 carboys. But the brewery equipment they use is either a 10 or 15 gallon setup. I want to say i heard them say 15 one time.
FWIW, i believe they actually brew the beer as it's shown. Yes there is plenty of editing. A brewday for 5.5 gallons takes me 6 hours with cleanup. Without I could probably get it done in 4-5 hours. Then they have to ferment for about 2 weeks.

Seriously, someone downvoted that?

I guess.. I've just never seen more than 5 gallons of beer at a time except at the end.
Regardless of that I still like the show and will keep watching. The Stout they did in Seattle was cool.

That's the cool thing about it. Seeing the things they put in the beer, or how they brew the beer.

Would have loved to drink that one

yea the Stout is the one I think I would have liked to try the most. The other 2 i remember specifically are the Denver and Portland brews. Both of those were pretty weird.

I'm probably gonna try to go, but I'm sure it will be a shite show.
