Or the offensive line, considering the 9ers have three 1st round picks on the line, including the best left side in the NFL in Joe Staley and Mike Iupati. Alex Boone was undrafted but is one of the top guards in the league. Vernon Davis and Gore are some of the best blockers at their position. That unit can hide some deficiencies.
Not trying to sell Goodwin short, but maybe temper expectations a tad. Just remember he is 35. People were excited about Olin Kruetz, too

On PFF each player is graded individually on each play. Even if a back gets hit in the backfield or goes for 20 yards, if the center did the same thing on each play he would get the same grade(from my understanding).
Though it does make your job easier playing with good players. Thing is we have some good players on our line too.
