Can someone say it's Darius Miller time?

Am I blinded by fandom and being a complete homer for saying I'm actually half way serious about Darius?
unless we can snatch up a decent SF in the offseason, he is a better option than aminu

Not me.

31.6% 3p% this season.
2.6 Reb per 36, and with our big situation we need rebounding out of the SF spot.

I'm fine giving him one more year to develop, but he's shown so little that I would definitely hedge my bets and bring in both a starting and backup caliber SF this offseason.

Well the only reason I am halfway serious about Darius is because I was at game last night and saw up close the work he did on KD

Say KD wasn't playing hard, he had an off night whatever...Darius played really really well on him all game

I'm not looking at him for offense if he's on the floor with Jrue, Reke, AD, and Ryno just defend like he did last night then space and hit a shot when you're open that's what I'm thinking

But I know better than to challenge TigerinATL's knowledge haha

I wonder how much better Darius would be if he got as much run as Aminu did this year?

I don't really see why it matters, given that our offense usually consists of the PG handing it to the other guard to run the offense right when he crosses half court.

MM said that he only looked good because KD was disinterested last night

I'm not saying that's not true, but I still think he did a good job harassing him.

For anyone that feels that way, I welcome challenges. Sometimes our first conclusions are wrong, and sometimes our first pass at the data isn't deep enough. I'm certainly not the most knowledgeable or insightful poster here when it comes to Xs and Os. I come here to learn, not to be deferred to.

I think a 2 guard starting lineup or Jrue and Reke would/has worked great. It isn't about PG vs SG, just that they are the 2 ball handlers on the court and the offense is facilitated through them. That's all that really matters. I think in today's NBA the labeling has got to stop. None of our best 4 players fit into any of the 5 traditional roles, so why try to define them that way?

I was talking to some friends after the game did anyone else notice that last free throw that KD took that gave him 25 pts he literally threw it up there and still made it?

We all thought he just wanted the 25 pt streak to be over so he basically passed the ball into the basket

So I can't say I disagree either that KD looked disinterested

Yes

Although really, they would just be two combo guards on the floor at the same time.

I think a Jrue/Reke combo would be almost unstoppable. Plus, look at how many teams are going with two lead guards in their starting lineups.

Yes... a two PG line-up can work. I don't understand why the Pelicans don't try to run the floor. You guys have the perfect team for it.

Many good/great 3-point shooters, and a big man who is thin who can run the floor like a guard. Davis would beast on the fastbreak and the shooters you guys have would be raining 3's all game.
