My favorite Xmen story arc. Please don't butcher this. I'm thinking a whole new cast would be needed (except Magneto) the characters are so different from the normal Xmen.

One of my favorite as well, still got the whole run.

They are doing it with the X-Men first class lineup. So the classic x-men could be different except for wolverine. It's only going to borrow elements though, so who knows what they will do to it.

Actually, seeing as they're from before he joins up and it's set some undetermined time after DOFP, it's conceivable Cyclops could be there. Not to mention if they manage to fix some things with the time travelling in DOFP.

If he got on some steroids he would be the most perfect person ever for that role.

As long as you have Hugh Jackman as Wolverine they didn't fix shite. He remembers it all ergo it all still happened.

What?

He remembers it because he was there. Like Bishop in pretty much every time travel story line in Xmen.

I hated Quicksilver's hair in DOFP, but loved his character. I'll draw my own conclusions

He didn't really change anything. He is just in his own timeline. If he changed it all he would lose those memories b/c they never would have happened.

Also, just b/c he did postpone Sentinel production, doesn't mean they should pretend that all continuity can be rebooted w/o issue. Jubilee suddenly being the same age as Jean Gray when she was a kid at the school in the first X-Men is an example of them still treating continuity as an afterthought simply so they can cram in known mutants. It's lazy and IMO shows a surprising lack of faith in the characters they have the rights to since there are plenty of other mutants they could use that wouldn't cause annoying issues like this.

They clearly stated in the movie he would have memories from both timelines because he is the only one who would have lived both

Yes, which means it all still happened. This is Back to the Future alternate timeline theory 101 brah

This isn't that hard. Everything still happened. It just happened in the timeline he no longer resides in.

Again, this doesn't really change that DOFP really didn't fix many several continuity issues or that Apocalypse is creating new ones by adding characters that should not be around yet.

I can buy that Wolverine moved back the eventual mass production of Sentinels. I can't buy that a character like Jubilee is suddenly born 10-15 years sooner.

It's not a movie killer but it's still lazy writing.

Why not? The butterfly effect. Maybe it caused her parents to meet sooner.

I think that is outdated right?

Shouldn't Spidey be in Marvel and Sony now?

come on now

may as well be a deus ex machina explanation if that's the kind of poor reasoning used to justify it.

honestly, I think my questions would have been avoided had they simply used Bishop for the time travel instead of Wolverine. Of course, that goes right back to them not trusting the source material.
