Sure they would fix any defects on the finish.

They won't. At least not for a price. That's why I'm doing it myself.

All jokes aside. Take the head off and heat it red hot with a torch. Drop it in motor oil. Voila, new finish. Let cool, and reshaft.

That was my original plan. I've just gotta clean it first

How old is it? You find it buried in a sand trap or flung into a water hazard?

That's ridiculous. Is there a base metal underneath? With a finish over the top? Maybe base metal coming through?

Messed up for a Scotty Cameron or any putter that caliber.

It's about 8 years old, and has been sitting in a garage.

B.O.S - Black oxide service, about $70 to refinish and $30 to deep mill, putter would be money. Only problem is that putters head weight is so light already. Likely weighs 325-330 grams. Standard putter today on avg weighs 340 grams

My scotty has a bit of that, gives it character. As long as the milling on the face isnt compromised you good.

This is why my golf clubs stay in my shed year round.

If I never pull then out. I never get frustrated and throw them in a pond. And they never get rust.

I hope you've learned your lesson
